I plugged my new hdtv into my laptop via an svideo cable and it works great. I try to plug another monitor into the svga port, but it says no video.... my laptop is acer aspire, and with 2 video outs I figured I could add 2 extra displays, I'm also using ultramon. Can anyone assist?
my video card is a geforce 7000m can that handle more than 2 displays? i don't see why not with 2 outputs. ....
In theory it should work. Did you configure the multiple display configuration in the nVidia Control Panel?
just tried that, still connecting my 2nd display (monitor) via the standard monitor cable, results in no display, (monitor shows nothing is connected)
Hmm that's really weird. My husband had an issue with his computer with this, but his only had one video out. Are the video outs both the same type?
2 outputs i output to tv thru svideo, and to a monitor thru svga they both work when used one at a time, but when one is plugged in and working, plugging in the second doesn't do a thing.....
Dont most people do this so they can level up their WOW character? I suppose it would help when running your business, I know my 8800gt supports dual monitors, I wonder if in SLI they can do 4? I would have to look it up. What exactly are you gonna be using 2 for?
yes you could have 4 on 2 8800gt's also Jim, I wonder if your card can have 3 on there running at once, try just doing the svga and s-video and have the laptop be blank, than try to add the laptop screen. if you can't add the laptop screen than I don't think your video card can handle 3 displays.
In the nvidia control panel it asks you which displays to display on correct? just choose the ones that are plugged in the svga and s-video
no, because they both work seperately.... it seems more like my laptop won't output video thru the second input, if a first is already connected... I need some way to tell my vid card to use both outputs simultaneously, but i cant find that much info on my vid card (geforce 7000M)
Oh yea, hmmm Maybe its not equipped to handle 3 displays. Other than that answer Im sorry I don't know. Maybe try a DVI if its there or a different plug
