Addictivehosting suspended my hosting

    Just i have got following email from addictivehosting about suspension of my account.
    Can anyone clarify me what it means resources?

    Hello,

    Your account has been temporarily suspended due to high resource consumption. The account '----' was causing very high loads on the server. We will unsuspend the account once you contact us and agree to resolve the resource issue.

    Basically shared host have many sites on one server so if ur site gets lots of traffic or script has too many features than the server ram and processor gets used a lot therefore u have been suspended

    You have used more than the prescribed CPU usage.

    1. Mostly people are not reading the ToS/AUP for CPU usage and they face similar actions.
    2. Most host do not have treanparency on this issue and suspend websites on this pretext.

    Hosts must have a section where they can show actual CPU usage.

    just they have unsuspended my account after contacting through email.

    Intrested to know what the outcome is, have they offerd you anything else like a vps.
    If not throw me a pm i can set you up with a cheap vps so you dont keep geting suspended from your host.

    you will need to upgrade to vps as he could suspend you again if you overloading there system

    You could ask your host for a screenshot of CPU/RAM/MySQL usage, which is available in root WHM.

    It is not that accurate, but gives a fair idea on usage.

    Also, it gives average usage over 24 hours (or from 00:00 server time to the time when the screenshot is taken)

    All shared hosting provider take high rersouce usage very seriously. You should take care of ur account and resources.

    Three days, i got a message from addictivehosting regarding possibility of 'my return to hosting' after server upgrade and removal those yabb scripts and subsequently i agreed for the same.

    After two days agian,they send a message with following text

    ''You will note on both Web Hosting Talk and Digital Point that the matters are now resolved''.

    But i accepted with condition of restoration of my site in the state before suspension.After that only, i will make such a note.
