    Hey guys and girls.

I added the Google Analytic plug in to my wordpress website about 4 days ago and it hasn't worked although it has came up as working in Google Analytics I am not receiving any statistics as of yet.

Also will the Google analytics take the statistics of people entering not via the home page? Such as people coming through from another page from the search engines.

    Will

    Any help?

It takes a few hours for data to appear . It also depends on whether you have much traffic coming to your blog.

Account is verified and "receiving data" message will show as you inbuilt the code, but the data will be shown after 20-24 hours.

It takes a few days for data to appear or resubmit the legacy code to your wordpress blog . It also depends on whether you have much traffic coming to your blog

"website about 4 days ago and it" did no one read what I put...GA does not take 4 days to analyse traffic.

Also obviously I have traffic coming to my blog or else I wouldn't even make this thread...

There is something wrong with either how I have installed it or GA or something I ve not done, I was looking for someone to advise me on perhaps the obvious things that perhaps I have not done...

Sometimes it takes more than 2-3 days to show up data but 4 days r too much. Have u checked that it is actually not collecting data?? If might show that it is not collecting data but if you go into details, it will show up everything. If still there is problem, then try uninstalling your add-on and install again. That might work.

yes it is true that it takes sometimes. However if after 15 days, still no data collected then there's something wrong with the installation of the codes into your wordpress blog.

Just ensure that the tracking code is correctly installed. By right it should be inserted before the </head> tag on each page and as in your case with a template, just paste the code in once to your template file. If everything is done properly, the reporting data should appear in about 24 hours

    1. Typically it takes Google Analytics 24 hours to start reporting. Have you checked if the code is added to all pages of your site correctly?

    2. Yes, Google analytics will take the statistics of people from referring sites and from search engines in addition to people entering via the home page.

You might not have added the code correctly.. google will only look at pages the code has been installed in. If you only install the code in one page, google will only look at traffic on that one page.

It seems to have started to work yesterday, it took a strangely large amount of time to start working, longer than usual.
    Anyways thanks.
