    Hello,

I added a favicon to my forum.

    URL: http://www.unitedwebtalk.com

But does it really help the site in any way?

Make it a little bit more unique or anything?

I works, but it's more for brand recognition, developing your name, and such.

Definitely better to have one than not. Oh and when users have a whole bunch of tabs open it'll help your site stand out.

With tabbed browsing the favicon has become a lot more useful for identifying your site in a sea of tabs. Definetly worth having it.
