I added 10 content rich pages to my site. They are all linked from the home page. How long will it take for these pages to rank in the SE's? Thanks
Usually average site are cache at an interval of a week between them. You might submit a new sitemape including new pages to help get indexed faster.
well it depend on search engine's robots to index your site sometimes it takes months to crawl your site, and it also depend on how you optimized your it and how many backlinks do your pages have to get rank in search engines.
XML Sitemaps do not get your web pages indexed faster, it's just a resource for search engines to locate all your web pages in one source.
Don't worry about when new pages will get indexed. Instead go build some more new pages and work on getting back links. I know you want to see your hard work pay off, but patience and continuous work is the key to success. If you add some content and links every day then six months from now you'll wake up every day and see your hard work pay off just a little bit more.
That's not true at all, I use ROR.XML files and apply some code to my header tag and pages are indexed faster than not using it.
yea there are too many factors for anyone to give you a timeframe of when your pages will be indexed as long as you linked them up from your homepage they will be followed and indexed the next time the spiders come to your site in the meantime write more pages and get mroe links! that will end up helping you greatly
Sitemap's do not increase your chances of getting crawled and indexed, do some homework before making these type of claims. All a sitemap does is present a list of all available URLs for a website; in theory if you have a proper internal linking structure you don't need a sitemap. Many webmasters only use them in the infinite of their sites until they build deep backlinks.
make sure that these new pages are linked from pages that are already indexed. this will allow your pages to become indexed sooner than later.
