Add Watermark to FLV files

What is the easiest way to add my websites watermark to a video which is in FLV format?
I can only add watermark to files in avi format so is the only way to convert to avi and then back to flv? But when doing this virtuadub does not recognise the avi codec file type or something like that?
If only Virtuadub could read FLV files.

did you try using some video editing software? I think using video editing software from macromedia which supports flash can help you to solve your problem.

try using ffmpg. If you do not know hire a coder to do it for you on your server.

Well I'm converting them to AVI and then adding the watermark and then using ffmpeg enconder to encode the files back to FLV.
Was just wondering if watermark could be added without converting the file.

download the trial version of Camtasia Studio...you can convert between all sorts of filetypes.

you just have to create a profile with the settings you want and choose a JPG image for the watermark.

then you can batch convert a number of videos (or just 1) to add the watermark.

Watermark can't be added without performing a reencoding of the file. But you can complete all you need per one pass by means, for example, of Watermark Master. It enables to load a FLV file, add a watermark (and apply a number of special effect if you wish) and convert it into any supported format, including FLV.

This is something that I have been also looking into for a while, all thought I never did come across the right solution.

I use Virtualdub with the free watermark plugin. All you have to do is create a BMP of the logo you want to use, and fill the background with a color. You then set the RGB values of that color in virtualdub, use the sliders to position the logo where you want, and save the video. It's the easiest way...before that, I used Pinnacle studio and it worked horribly (plus the watermark plugin was over $20)

For my opinion, the easiest way to add your websites watermark to a video is by using VidLogo (geovid.com)

FFmpeg is free. It is a little hard to use at first, but once you get used to it it gets the job done.

Virtualdub + watermark plugin is the easiest way by far...just create your own BMP and specify the color value you want to be transparent, and it's easy from then on.

Yes, use VirtualDub it is a good way (and free), but there is a lot of lacks

    1. VirtualDub work only with AVI files.

    2. VirtualDub allow create watermark only from logo (BMP image)

    3. You cannot applay effect for to playback watermark, for example, Fade In - Fade Out.

    This list not full:)

So if your task is little bit more complex than to draw simply BITMAP on video - to use Watermark Master better!:)
