Add mass pages to wordpress

    Hi there!

    Is there a way to add mass pages to wordpress? Becuase i have to add about 200 pages and i really dont wanna do it one by one.

    With a little massaging, I'm sure you could import them directly into your WP database...

    Dashboard > Write > Pages (note: this is for WordPress 2.3.3 and earlier - I haven't upgraded to 2.5 yet so this may have changed in that version)

    yup, but that means one page at a time! i need to create at least 200 pages...would take ages

    Not really. Just copy/paste the relevant HTML in there after turning off the visual editor.

    why dont you create in 200 categories. i think it's hard to create a 200 pages.

    I would:

    1. Create a dummy page in your current WordPress install.
    2. Go to the WordPress database and see how the page is stored (table, columns, etc).
    3. Export the 200 pages from your other CMS.
    4. Edit this dump to align with the table structure in WordPress.
    5. Import.

    mizaks, you are right! but the only thing is that i dont understand how to download the complete database
