"add link" google command - good or bad?

    Doing command "add link" Keyword to find link partners, is this a good technique for new web sites?

    the result for keywords of "add link" are usually not free. you have to link to them or pay for list.
    Seldom of them would list your site for free.

    I am willing to link back.

    It is hard to build links to a new site but with this you can build links faster.

    has anyone tried this? please let me know how it worked for you or what you think about it.
