What actually is add domain means? If there is already a e-commerce site for selling perfumes, can we add another e-commerce for Travel site to the same hosting plan and will it conflict? OR it has to be another domain but related to selling perfumes only?
Add domain means you can add any domain you want. You normally set up a sub domain to point the domain to and also set your name servers of your other domain to the hosting name servers. Make sure you are allowed to add domains and how many you are allowed to add under your hosting package. The new domain can be any niche you want and you can eve back link from one domain to another. It is counted as a whole new website.
About which control panel are we speaking here? Did you mean add-on domains in cPanel ? If you talking about cPanel yes, you can add domains that will be redirected to your current ecommerce site/shop. Also, you could use Park Domain feature which will park the domain and redirect users to your website.
No,,no. I meant both websites are independent and has no relation to each other for pointing or redirecting. One is for perfumes and the second is for new Travel site and yet to be hosted. It is a cPanel hosting for Perfumes but since I am looking for hosting the new travel site, so I thought instead of buying new hosting plan for Travel site , I might as well use this Perfume website hosting and just add Travel website hosting to it, will that be ok? or will it conflict or should I just go ahead and buy separate hosting plan for new Travel site.
When you create an add-on domain it becomes apart of your top level domain that you are hosting, completely different and is NOT a subdomain, a sub-domain would be apart of that domain. You will access your site by typing in the domain name, the only thing different, is that an add-on domain will use your plans server space and resources for it. You can view your add-on domains and sub-domains website files in FTP.
