Suggestion add aquarank external account

Link it for what purpose exactly? Accounts links here all have a specific reason for the link. Never heard of aquarank myself.

 

Er... looks like a directory for aquarium websites to me. I'm not sure what you would need a linked account for, but it's probably a bit of a moot point anyway because it doesn't look like they have an API *to* link accounts.

 

I don't see it happening. I don't see a reason a directory account would need to be linked. It would serve no purpose I can see. Also, it's not for all sites. It's just for one very small niche of sites.

Seriously, it's a directory for aquarium people and there's nothing wrong with that but don't try to make out it's something more

Only 86 people have been sufficiently motivated to create accounts? That's probably pretty good given the niche but it doesn't make it "mainstream" and of value to a significant number of our members.

 

Can you show me an example of their analytics reports?
I'm fascinated that it's better than google analytics.

What category would I submit my tech blog to?
What category would I submit roommatecabins.co.nz to?
What category would you submit digitalpoint to?

People aren't going to value having a long list of sites they can link to - they want someone, in this case @digitalpoint, to pick the best-of-breed. Your site won't make the cut for a while yet.

They appear not to be ready for submissions yet. I tried to add a site but couldn't get past the password verification. The passwords I entered matched but were constantly rejected.

 

lol, so you don't even know if the site is any good. I thought you had been using it for a while and actually KNEW that they delivered. The stats you have shown don't give me any info about what devices are being used, what search terms, what age and gender, time of day or anything. Seriously if you think that's better than GA then your requirements are obviously different to the vast majority of GA users.

Tell me why an internet marketing site would want to ditch their connection to Google Analytics in favour of a goldfish directory?
And a directory that won't even list the sites of most of the people here unless they add a goldfish section?
You know we have adult sites discussed and promoted here - you know what they'll add so they can be added to AquaRank, don't you?

I'm curious what is the great part about their analytics? I mean the screenshot you posted might have been "okay" about 25 years ago when analytics wasn't a thing. I see absolutely nothing there other than a super rudimentary hit counter and link click counter.

I mean does it even show you basic (by today's standards) analytics things like where your traffic is coming from or what sort of device your users are using?
