    How do I add an image to my site that will show up in an address bar, and/or a desktop icon?

    I did what it said, and I made a favicon and uploaded it to my site via frontpage...It doesn't seem to work!

    Just use this tool:

    http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/

    BTW, remember to put the favicon.ico in your root directory and add this tag:
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" >

    between your <head> .... </head> tag.

    IE is a bit stupid when it comes to favicon. Try bookmarking your site and see if the favicon shows up. It may show up at bookmark but not at address bar.

    I don't know how to properly do it but I just delete the old site's bookmark and bookmark it again. It will then show the new favicon.

    I think when one change the favicon, it takes time to take effect.. ( I am not sure of this)
