for blogger, you don't really need to add a site map, google automatically knows what to do and will index your posts
i agree with bofia however you can add the verification code within a meta tag in your the head of the doc. so you are both correct.
Every thing was confusing, the site was not verified, the submitted site maps were getting error response, until I went the way I explained in my blog when every thing was ok, I got extremely exhausted in this process and this is why I published this experiment to let others avoid it, when they may be pushed by discussions at groups and forums.
