Add a directory to a website?

Are there any benefits to add a niche directory to an already existing website?

 

some will sy yes but some will say no benefits.
if the people give u link back then it's good

I think it could benefit, its adding a collection of related resources to the established site.

 

as pipes said its just an index of resources in the end
if its related and can be of use to your surfer then Id be a good addition
also helps you to get in contact with people in your niche which is always beneficial

 

Yeah, I think a little more clarification is in order. Do you mean add a link from a niche directory to an existing web site or visa versa?

 

I guess its like most say... some say yes some say no

I myself would think that your better off adding a Blog rather then a niche directory
as your sending possible clients to your competitors as well would tie up your time or
an employees rather then to concentrate on your Main business...

A blog on the other hand could convince them that you know your way around your
niche field and could convince them to use your product or ideas...
