    No, you are not allowed to change any portion of the adcode.

    You should really read the AdSense ToS.
    It's not allowed to alter the code in any way. Just generate it and then copy/paste it.

    not only you cannot change the ad code, with the new ad code they came up with, there is not even any option to play around with the code much.
