Hello, Can someone please help me understand how the traffic flow of these "internet-based advertising" programs work? I would greatly appreciate the knowledge. I've attached a screenshot below. - Who/what puts the banner on the website? Basically who chooses the links posted. From my understanding it works through cookies, but please elaborate on this. - Who is the beneficiary of the clicked link and in what manner? By this I mean who is the one that gets credit for the converted click. - What are the pros/cons of having one of these on your sites? Thank you to all.
The example given was one of those panels of "read more" articles. I'd expect it to work just like adsense you publish links, if they're clicked you get credit that credit will either be money or the opportunity to promote your own links.
Where would we be able to sign up for this opportunity? And do you know where we can find more information on them? Thanks
That's pretty accurate. There are a few networks like the ones promo'd here on DP. You can use mgid, taboola, revcontent and there are a few other. Taboola requires 500k impressions monthly to join and your content must be abundant. Regards, Luke
Thank you Luke and Sarah. So you can publish these links on any site you own and get immediate credit or does it take some sort of task completed in order to obtain credit? Also, the links in the banner itself are bought by owners of the website in the link itself or where do they come from? Because I've read that its based off your browsing history and/or cookies. Thanks.
it'll differ for each one. You really need to do the leg work yourself and see which one best suits you for traffic, cost, reward etc
