Hello experts, I'm an amateur who registered with adCenter last night. To my surprise, they charged me $1 on my credit card. Why did they do that even though the site mentioned that they don't charge for registration. Kindly give some inputs. I don't want this to happen again. Please help me.
I think that is just to verify your cc. But if you are already worried about 1$ I don't think you will get far with ppc.
Yes.. you are correct. They replied that it was just to check the validity of my credit card and they'll refund it. Actually I'm not worried about losing $1. Without any reason if I'm losing $1, then that is definitely a concern for me. I would not like to be a part of a system which is not transparent with their processes.
quit complaining it's a dollar!! LOL!! Good business, I would charge a fee for registering if my company was the valuable! It's about ROI, spend $10K with them, make $25K, what's a dollar with complaining for?
It is most likely an authorization charge to verify that the credit card is indeed active. These charges tend to drop off if the transaction is not converted into a sale within a specified time range.
This has been answered a million times so no sense in everyone posting useless comments. He wasn't worried about $1. He was just told he wouldn't be charged so when he saw a $1, he thought maybe they were being untruthful. He found out it was just an authorization and it was all cleared up. End of story.
It's only for verification of your Credit Card - thats all............... Need not to be worried abt.
