has anyone used this online marketing service ( adbrite.com ) where you can purchase advertising and such

Their links are not direct. I bought one, and had submitted for another. The first was then approved, and I saw it was not a direct link. So, I canceled both 10 minutes later. Of course, I still had to pay for the one that was approved, but only one month.

 

not a direct link like as in a exit stat url?

 

It's a URL on their site with a param that redirects to your site.

let me ask you this,

you pay the monthly but then it says something about per click cost, does that mean you have to pay in addtion to the monthly for every click you get?

 

As I understand it, not all have monthly prices, and it is just an estimate based on the average click-through rates for that site. It could be a little more or less.

On the selling end I haven't had much success with it yet, I guess I just need tons more hits to show up on the top of the list. Some of those sites are getting 2mil+ hits a day for god sake!
