AdBrite Users - Popup Alert

FYI I am getting one of those "Your computer is at risk! Install this software" sneaky popups from AdBrite. The advertiser is DriveCleaner.

I am adding DriveCleaner advertiser to me blocked ads list. I just thought I would share this with others that try to avoid these adware type tricks on their webs.

It freaked me out at first cause I only see those at warez and hax0r sites!

lately i am also very unsatisfied with adbite. that is the reason i changed to exoclick and etology. and the even pay better and faster. we won´t talk about the support that almost doesn´t exist at adbrite...
so i am not very astonished they show spam popups now...

yup exoclick seems much better in terms of support , the have a couple of reps on the forum itself too , i had a bitter experience with adbrite in terms of payment.

it's the 3rd party banners that are served.they told me because of all the complaints they're not allowing them any more, but they still do.

    to stop it:
1.approve all ads and dont allow the 3rd party banners.
2.switch to flexible ads.(you may make more money on them)

Errorsafe aka. Drivecleaner aka. etc. ads are sneaking into basically all networks that run CPM ads, even ValueClick and those.

well you can switch to the approved mode which will not be great unless you have a premium site that advertisers specifically want to advert on vs. the general network ads.

im just going to wait it out. im sure adbrite and the other ad syndicators are on the job cause that causes them huge grief.

those malware gankers have no shame!

Yea, its a shame. However, if they partnered with better networks, it may had been different. While the cpm rates rose, virus alerts and such are all over the place. It seems things had calmed down, but their cpm has turned to crap. Oh well.

AdBrite pays but the downside is that they run payments on a net-60 basis.
