Apparently for $35/day i can an average of 663 clicks a day off of AdBrite (using their estimator) for the following keywords: "gambling, spots, betting, free" Will most of this traffic be fraudulent? Valueless? What are your experiences and reviews on AdBrite? Thanks so much!
"i can an average of 663 clicks a day" What does this mean? As an advertiser or a publisher? I don't get it.
I've had decent experience with adbrite, but I still have some testing to do before I go full-scale. I was using it for ringtones. The trick with adbrite (as you know) is that you pay by how long your ad is displayed (1-day, 1-week, 1-month), and not per click. Therefore, you need to write your ad to get as many clicks as possible. If you do write your ad that way, you should expect your CTR to be lower than if you were doing regular PPC. Shoemoney has had success with adbrite and he'd be a great resource for this question - maybe I can convince him to dedicate one of his netincome shows to this topic.
Adbrite's estimates are very optimistic I have found. I have never reached their estimates for total clicks. Be sure to factor that into your decisions.
As an advertiser I did not have a good experience, I had a ad run for 7 days and the site claimed to have over 10000 pageviews a day. I had to pay and I received no traffic. Song Lyrics
The adbrite estimates are just averages. If you know how to write good ads you can get better then there estimates. I always just do 1 day then if that works out do 1 week then if that works out do 1 month. Just use common sense and let the numbers on your ROI speak for themselves
I have just started playing around with this.. and I have a bunch of sites I am running ads on and already seeing a pretty decent return for the money invested. So I definately think there is some potential there.
Completelly agree ! I think adbrite is not completelly honest with their estimates, I have used them lot, but never, never got estimates click. I used sites that fit my niche, nice adds, but never reached that.
well they are very optimistic! Adbrite doesn't really interests me... I was never successful with adbrite. I always go for adwords...
Yes they are, I agree. But you can find some great converting and very cheap deals based on your website's content and target. Totse for one is cheap & visitors from there are exactly the kind I need for some of my websites.
My last deals with Adbrite were disaster. I bought few links with o.o1 estimate average click. They noted that those publishers usually approved new adds in one day. Most of them approved me 5 days later, and then estimated average click was o.o4 or o.o5, and my clicks was even 0.06, so those purchases was throwing money for me, and niche I have
Also, with Adbrite not all sites will do well for your niche. I usually try with a handfull of sites and then only keep going with the ones that bring in the lowest CPC. I haven't got Adbrite to convert well for anything other the occasional AdSense click.
this is becoming more true.. its why you really have to test test test... never sign on for more then 1 day. Most of the sites that ARE a good deal are bought out by advertisers. I have bought out my best performers when I could get ahold of the site owner.
As a publisher, Adbrite is getting me more and more angry. However, as an advertiser I joined in on their network ads, and have seen some decent results.
