Tried it with few of my blogs. Earnings are good if you have good traffic and if you get sponcered ads where advertisers pay you by per month basis
Thanks for sharing your experiences. Its good to see how these various programs work or dont work for everyone.
I think it's good if you have a really popular site, Bebo, Friendster, Outwar, Ebaums all seem to make alot of money. I make about 2-3$/day, compared to about $2/day with adsense. All of my default network ads seem to be 'Get Laid Tonight' and 'Get Cheap Rate Loans' type ads - which I don't mind. The good thing is that I have 1 guy who's signed up for 1 month with subscription, at about $1.20/day, so I should be getting that for a long time in the future. I think it's useful to try Adbrite out, but run Adsense along side it.
I've been using AdBrite on several sites for the past few months (after an unexpected removal from AdSense) and generally it has paid NOTHING. My account is up to about $4.85 after 6 months of running ads in the EXACT same spot my AdSense ads once ran. With AdSense I was making close to 4$ per day. I have recently started to use Chitika and the results are a little more in line.. Very similar to what I was pulling in with AdSense. I think it has to do with the 'newness' of it. Most people are used to AdSense now and try to avoid clicking on things. Other programs i've tried and HATED are Amazon.com and Kanoodle. I'm still waiting for Yahoo to be available in Canada... but for now at least I found a decent alternative to AdSense.
Iam with adbrite, its good when someone buys your space or else you get paid peanuts when network ads are shown
Adbrite is not going to generate revenue like adsense for new sites, you need to have pretty good traffic to earn some money out it. But not sure about their pay for each ad. Quote: Most people are used to AdSense now and try to avoid clicking on things. Is this true? out of the total net users I would say 5% might be aware of these revenue schemes
Adsense is way better than adbrite, but adbrite can make you great revenue on big forums like this one since every time someone enters into a forum or a post they give an impression, so impressions come fast and the admin gets paid fast .
Im actually conducting a little experiment this week with adbrite in terms of taking out ads on relevant websites...(games and flash game sites). Its too early too tell...but id want to improve the CPC before i do much more advertising on the sites ive chosen...its a bit rich for my blood....but again, its too early to tell. Ill make a point of reporting back to this thread with the final results. By the way, im not really judging sites necessarily strictly on the uniques there getting per day..its more on relevance and where my ad will be positioned. In terms of the adbrite service...I like there site, everything works..the user CP is very good, and the permanent log in feature actually works..OH MY!. If i can get a decent CPC from a nice base of sites..ill keep using them.
I hate them The reason is the support. Here is the Explanation: i purchased a small Ad last month and they were supposed to start it within 3 days but they changed the ad date to Feb15. ok, no prob . But now when the ad started this is what i get http://www.adbrite.com/mb/commerce/purchase_form.php?other_product_id=27027 Here is an Screenshot for proof that the ads are running. I placed 4 ads totalling 25$ but 0 returns, and i mailed the support 3 times but no reply.
I used adbrite as a seller for a dating site I was an affiliate of. It did decently but it didn't hit ROI. I don't think it's Adbrite's fault though. The key lesson I learned is LOCATION is key. Scout out the sites where your ads will show before you make the buy. Make sure your ad mirrors the target site's traffic demographics.
lol i did everything and bought the above ad, But as the ad started the site owner removed the ads and i lose 100% of the money and the Support dont reply to my email
2nd and third tier PPC, contextual, and CPM channels are notorious for terrible support. Even MSN and ASK are a joke. Come to think of it, the only way to get good support is to spend a few million a year on Google and/or Kanoodle. Support for online advertising sucks everywhere.
