Pretty much drag my site's load speed down quite a bit. Any idea why? Because it doesn't seem to happen on other site's

I stopped using AdBrite for this very reason. I even noticed many times that my pages wouldnt fully load. They stopped right where the AdBrite code began and everything below that code didnt load.

This sort of thing didnt happen all the time but often enough for me to just scrap it.

depends on the type of site, if you have lots of user generated content theres only adengage, clicksor, exoclick and a few others but they don't pay nearly as well as adbrite if you have interstitials enabled, another option for a bit of both is place exoclick, adengage ect as your first banner and place adbrite in the footer this way if the site does slow down it will only slow the bottom half of the site.
