I have a webpage wherein i tried to mix both Adsense and Adbrite ads together. They worked fine at first. I've mixed them for a good 5 days now with no issues. My webpage is about health and fitness. But just this morning, i tried to inspect my webpage by viewing it on my browser, and voila .... my Adsense was showing Health & Fitness ads, but my Adbrite block was showing Casino and Poker ads!! WTF ???? All the keywords i entered in my Adbrite block for this webpage were about health and nutrition. And my domain is clearly health and fitness related, and is impossible to be mistaken for a gaming website. Why the F*K does Adbrite show CASINO and POKER ads on a health and fitness site??? I immediately removed the Adbrite block. I'm real pissed!
Thanks for your post, because, I am also some kind of problem. The problem was that in my adbrite block pf ads, they were showing Chittika ads. This is deadly against to Adsense. For some days, my adsense ads were showing blank. Now today onwards they are showing some public ads,as what you have described.
Adbrite not only giving problems to other codes but also crashes mozilla firefox sometimes.. Adbrite script is too heavy...
Adbrite is not very good im afraid. Like Titing Kabayo said the Adbrite script is too heavy. I would suggest that you remove it and focus mainly on Google Adsense on your website because It clearly is not working out for you. Good luck
i read some stories that if we mix adbrite and adsense then adsense will ban our domain or acc/ and BTW why you have need to put lot of advertisements. adsense giving 3 link unit and 3 text/image ads, and i think its enough for any page if you dont want to fill your site with ads and i am sure you put or sell link slots personally too/ or put any affiliate links so better to leave adbrite, they are not paying good [IMO]
^ No, i was not really intending to put one too many advertisements on my webpages. I was just experimenting on mixing ad networks on a single page, since Adsense TOS says you can do this as long as they are distinguishable. Anyway, the issue is really about one ad network trying to sabotage the other ad network. But i guess, this problem wasn't entirely Adbrite's doing. It appears that in your Adbrite account, you have the ability to "approve" or "reject" ads that get displayed on your site. The default is "auto-approve". Which is supposed to be fine, since you clearly specified your keywords, and it's difficult to "approve" ads every now and then, if you are a busy guy. But then again, many advertisers who are in CASINO and GAMBLING business are crooks who don't give a sh*t about advertising on the properly associated keywords. They will bombard with gambling ads all publishers who have "Auto-approve" settings in their Adbrite accounts. It doesn't even matter if your website is intended for children or fashion or cancer care site - they will display POKER ads there too. CASINO advertisers pay well, but they are crook nutheads without any conscience. So this is a warning to Adsense users, trying to mix Adbrite on the same page.
This is something crazy, I doubt whether its intentional or accidental. I'm seeing a forex guide ad for the past 5 days everywhere, where there is adbrite ad. I think it is better not to mix them, whether they allow or not.
if you got adsense, do not use adbirte or other network ads. adsense is the best as everyone knows..... adbrite just show some ads, they never take care of the contents and keywords..
I too faced the same problem, adbrite showed only Forex ad (And that ad is a little bit XX) so I completely deleted the adbrite code from my blog. I dunno what is going on with adbrite. Any other good alternative to adbrite?
Besides irrelevant ads, Adbrite's ppc is also very low.... it's better to focus on maximizing adsense revenue rather than wasting time on other ad networks.
remove adbrite, plus you cant even have it on the same page as adsense ads so you can get banned by adsense.
I've been using Adsense and Adbrite on my site for about a year now and haven't had any problems at all. Adsense allows you to use Adbrite, just as long as your Adsense ads aren't in the same format as your other ads. I have an Adbrite banner at the top of the page and Adsense text ads on the side of the page... I've actually had a better return on investment from Adbrite since they pay CPM as well as per click and Adsense only pays per click...You can block any ads that you don't want from Adbrite, so it takes very little work to match the content with ads. The problem with Adbrite is that they simply don't have the volume and variety of ads that Adsense has, so sometimes you have to bend on what ads get shown or nothing will be shown at all... Adsense is also EXTREMELY picky and they will shut off your account without notice and without an explanation...and they always seem to do this right when you're about to get paid...Very sneaky, IMO.... Adbrite has always paid me on time and with zero problems and none of my visitors have ever complained about crashing...
