Adbrite question

I am playing around with Adbrite on one of my sites.

I have set up a zone with Banner, Text and Inline and put it up on a site that gets around 3000UVs a day.

My question is I cant seem to be able to set or allow the daily, weekly, monthly rates that I remember was available. Is this only if you set text ads ONLY?

I have heard that this is where the money is for Adbrite and I don't really want to have the slot take up the placement for another couple of weeks until the zone gets on the directory and gets the stats again.

Seems I cannot change to Text Ads only after running a Banner and text zone.

Adbrite seems a bit confusing to me with its CpCs, CPMs, bad documentation.

    Help would be appreciated.

The rates you set are for ads directly purchased on your site regardless of the format. As far as I know you can not filter network ads - you get what you're given! You should be able to set your own prices for the directly purchased ads, but I usually have them autopriced.

So will the 1day, a week, a Month ads be available to me for my Banner Ads and Text Ads zone? Its not at the moment on the Ads page... maybe it takes time and comes up after a few days.

    Does anyone know?

banners can only sell cpm text and image ads.
you would need to set up a new zone with the flexible ads to be able to sell them at a flat rate.

Yeah thanks, thats what I thought .

So I need to create a text Ads only zone right?

And for a 3000UV site do you think that a Text Ads only zone is the way to go? ... Setting up a new zone means I would have to lose the stats I have been building up these last few days .. :( .. stupid design.

I would go with the flexible text ads. I was actually about to change mine back too. With the banners they don't count clicks on the image ads and nobody really buys direct CPM ads.

Since you have good traffic you can set your flate-rate ads show an avg. of 10 cents per click and still get many purchases.

At the start select only text ads. Then it will allow you to set monthly, weekly etc ads with custom price.
