With AdBrite, what converts the best, doing PPC, or selecting a site yourself to have your ad on the site? How accurate is the

    Avg total clicks: XXX

stat for the sites? I've always stunk at PPC, so I'm trying out the advertising on certian sites for X days, since some sites show really nice stats, like

    Avg CPC: $0.010

Guess it would probably come down to some testing to find out the truth... Fortunately, the cost to promote via Adbrite is pretty managable.

Not much of an answer, but there you have it... ;)

I have found the average clicks they give NOT EVEN CLOSE! Make sure you narrow it down by viewing the average clicks for your industry or niche to get it a little closer, but be prepared for it to be off from what they say. I have run ads on sites saying the average is .05 per click and since I got about 20% of the predicted clicks that cost per click went up to .18.

Also, I would stay away from sites with adult type material as the traffic is terrible from them. I wouldn't commit to any more than 1 day when going directly with a site until you find out if the clicks really convert.
