I am currently helping a client implement some ad strategies. They can't use Adsense due to questionable content. Which have you been making more money off of?
both adbrite and smowtion is bad news. Without more infomation about your site and geo-stats its hard to help.
The site has about 80% traffic in the US and 10% Australia and the rest everywhere else. ~5 million pageviews a month. 250K-300K unique visitors. ADs I believe the site is more interested in technology based ADs.
Both ad networks are trustable, but they don't have very high earnings. If you have enough traffic, try applying for higher tier networks like BurstMedia, TrialFusion, etc.
I heard a lot of good comments about Adbrite. But it very highly depends from your site quality and trafic origin...
What do you mean by saying "Questionable content"? If it's adult content there are some networks who specialize in adult sites only, try looking for them.
I would recommend something like cpxinteracive or tlvmedia. If you only coice are above listed companies, then use adbrite, they are a well established company.
Adbrite. I don't recommend Smowtion. Earnings look good but payments are not as per expectation. Waiting for 4 months to get my payments but they are postponing with saying TOC / account verification issues etc now when payment. Not sure whether I will get the payment or not.
adbite -> No future since they lower the price to 0.00001 c each click -> 1000 click I got under $1 Smowtion -> Some people say its good but for me. 50.000 impressions -> 0$ -> Don't know why So I'm not recommend both of them
My friends work with aDbrite without someproblem. But i didn't hear something bad about Smowtion. So just your choose
I think the OP will have to try AdBrite for himself and see. Because I get 3 cents per click for the low quality weight loss ads. Higher for more targeted ads (although AdBrite aren't the best at ad targeting).
Adbrite and smowtion both not work good at all, both pay very low. there are many other good network to use. I would advice avoid both of them.
