Yea, don't mean to be rude, but this has been around for a while. I would know since I've been using them.

Hmm, adbrite has been using the googleesque ads for a long time. At least a year but more if I remember correctly.

Is it possible you read an old article or something?

I think there's a bit of a confusion here. Adbrite did indeed just launch a new banner program, where instead of simply outputting a bunch of text ads that fill up a given space, now they conform to standard banner sizes.

AdBrite may have been testing this for a long time, but it wasn't until last month that they made this program publicly available (or at the least, it wasn't until last month that AdBrite sent ME the beta-test email :-P )

My favorite aspect about the new banner program is that, like Google Adsense, you can have an alternate banner appear if AdBrite can't serve it for you. But unlike Adsense, this is set up in the control panel, and not a Javascript variable you can update whenever you want.
