Really? you wrote to them about the problem? My first adbrite check came about 4 months after I signed up, and been receiving it on a monthly basis now.

Hey Everyone, thanks for chiming in with some answers. Yes Banner ads and more goodies are coming in the near future. If you recall we had beta tabs on our homepage, and still have information about signing up for these programs.

Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Good luck with that

Someone from Adbrirte sent me an email saying that they were interested in advertising on my site. I replied just to see what kind of payment they could offer me, and never heard from them again

Why do you spam people if you are not even going to provide a decent information service?

Chris. I want to give you http://TeamForbidden.tk. All I ask id that you split profits. I will give you the login info, the hosting and all for free. In return I just want you to try and make as much revenue on it as possible and split 50/50. Does this sound like somthing you'd be interested in?

I have been using adbrite as an advertiser for a little while now and can contribute some things, as well as some requests.

I had a good experience with their support the other day. I had a site that was on a 30 day buy and in the first week they provided me about 30 clicks or something very marginal. Then over the next 3 days they averaged over 800 clicks. Once I contacted them they stopped it refunded my money, and sent it to their fraud team to investigate. I thought they handled it very well. That is one concern with AdBrite, is people trying to artificially inflate their stats in order to fetch bigger prices.

A few things I would like to see:

    1) Being able to cancel ads before they are approved. As some mentioned you can have ads sit unapproved for a while. I have had some ads seemingly sit unapproved for weeks and weeks. I do not know if there is a maximum drop dead, but I think advertisers should be able to cancel an ad any time before it is actually approved.

    2) Geo-targetting on site specific ads. I really would love this. You can do it on network ads, but not on site specific ads. There are times when I want all the traffic, other times when I want to target a segment of traffic from a particular site. I end up doing all the work on my end, and it takes a lot of time. Obviously with the flat-rate ads I am not necessarily losing anything but bringing in this extra non-targetted traffic, but in order to manage things better it would be a nice OPTION to have.

One thing I will recommend to people placing adbrite ads on their site is to pay attention to two things. One is location, and two is making use of the ability to really control the appearance of the ads. I have seen some sites that have done miraculous integration with adbrite and the ads look more professional than anything you would see from Google or Yahoo. Unfortunately the default ads are a little harsh. So just spend some time to have them match your site. As for placement, don't just throw them on the bottom of the page, unless you know you are converting traffic down there. When I select a site I will look at the numbers, but if the ad placement is really poor or after 3 blocks of adsense, it is highly unlikely I am going to buy an ad on that site. This doesn't mean you need a banner ad above the fold, although when I see that and it is well-blended with the site, it is hard not to buy the space.
