Adbrite Earnings

I have put some Adbrite ads on my forum, http://www.expertbettingadvice.co.uk/forum/ and have had them up about 20 or so days now. Although the forum gets a lot of traffic, the ads are really performing badly. I'm probably going to take them down, I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions where I'm going wrong before I do? I obviously can't use Adsense because of the site content.

Why don't u use adsense/Yahoo publisher network instead, since they are better and convenient. if you have to use adbrite then u should remember that ur site must have really good traffic and repeated visitors and ad units should be at place where ur site audience can easily view and its good to place them near top and middle part of pages and try to get more good paying advertisers for ur site. wish u success:)

I had the same experience with adbrite, and i took them down, but its not always like that with adbrite, its depends on the advertisers.

Dont think he can use adsense due to it being a gambling orientated site. Cant you use sportsbook affiliate programs and earn from them?

Yeah, you can't use Adsense on gambling related sites which is very frustrating because I have no doubt I'd earn fairly well from that if my other sites are anything to go by.

I do use Sportsbook affiliate programs but the sales fluctuate a lot and I wanted to use a few text ads for the regular income.

I use adbrite on my myspace site, I got about 500 clicks by now and $9.
If you are to use the network ads, don't expect much.
Adbrite is only good for high traffic sites and good paying advertisers.

Ad placement is not bad so that is good.. I don't know your traffic, but I suspect that might be it. Low traffic sites in adbrite can be dicey... So boost your traffic a bit and you might things pick up as you get a history and some stable traffic.
