Can someone explain the difference between "Ad Zone View" and Impressions?

As you can see, my second "Ad Zone Views" are ok, but the impressions are utter crap :D

Are you using inline ads? I think that 'adzone views' means how many times the inline links have been shown on the page, while the impressions is the number of times someone actually scrolls over the inline ad to look at it. Don't quote me on that though.

I am using Banner Ads (468 by 60).

I am just suprised by the difference in numbers. They have the large number (Ad Zone Preview) about right since I can see my stats on my own site. But the impressions are way off. I already have over 1000 uniques today. Maybe because the site is only 20 days old - but can't see how that makes a difference at all!

    HELP am loosing money! :)

But wait - I do have a minmum threshold of eCPM being greater than $0.40 - maybe some of the ads are not greater than this so it switches to my adsense??

That very well could be it. You may want to submit a support ticket to adbrite just to clear up the confusion

If you submit a support ticket please respond with the answer on here. I have noticed that issue but never asked, or tried to find more info on it.

I have contacted them and I am awaiting a reply - will post the reply here.

I have also asked them another question.

Has anyone ever come across a Banner ad that is valued at $10.00 - Ad Brite gives no indication if this is CPM or CPC. But I am quite sure it is CPM since that value for CPC would be a bankrupting figure, right?! :D

The adzone views is how many time the Ad slot is view (blank or with advertising) from the users.
The impressions is the real adbrite ads view (not blank).
If your slot show "Make advertising here" or your backup ad, is an Adzone views, not impression.
I hope is clear, my language is not english.

Topin has the answer. Always use backup ads if you have another company.

Seriously, this gets worse! It just says on my site "If you would like to advertise..." in the banner space all the time even though I have approved like 8 banners to appear in that zone!

Why don't they show those ads!! Look here at the stats, its so high but they don't count them as impressions:

Is there a better CPM provider than AdBrite that I can get in with my sort of site? (see sig)

If you just added your site, then give a few days for more advertisers to find your site. It usually takes a week to get a good flow of advertisers.

Also enable the auto approve and you will have more fill spots. Also this is why they give you the option for alternative ad companies.

There are many other companies, tribalfusion.com and casalemedia.com are 2 very big ones.

    Hope this helps!
