Adbrite, Chitika techies smarter than Adsense techies

Just read another thread, that got me thinking.
while Google claims to always want to attract
the smartest available techie to work for Google,
how is it that Google bans so many publishers, are
they certain that 100% of those pubs. are crooks?

How is it that Chitika/Adbrite can filter out those clicks
they suspect are not legit? meanwhile the brainiacs at
Google can figure out how to do that, without banning?

That would be me who posted about Google lacking the technology to audit "invalid clicks". Maybe the reason is that they simply don't want to. It seems their TOS is a weapon they wield to slash publisher's throats. I know, I was a victim last year (but my account was re-instated *minus* two months of earnings).

Also, did anybody else notice the frequency of Adsense bannings usually happen around the end of the month and right before Google Inc. is slated to release an earnings statement to investors ?

Adsense doesn't have the resources to audit over 50K users.

They have an automated system which filters those who should be banned and then audit them.

The system doesn't always work and sometimes innocent people (like me) get banned.

    Peace,

I guess that's the American way. Sometimes even good kids fall between the cracks because the system is flawed and they can't expend enough resources to fix it because that would diminish the bottom line. Who cares about those "throw away" kids anyway... Their mommas don't want them so why should Google have to babysit 'em :)

Its like comparing China to singapore. Its far more easier to control singapore than china. Volumes count. How many people use Adbrite compare to Adsense?

The bigger the network = the bigger the click fraud.

Good point godmode but we're talking about Google here. If they can handle control/reporting of Adsense/Adwords there's no reason they can't de-dupe ip addresses, bounce against login ip's etc... Maybe if they did actually audit IP's, etc that would be an effective means to control click fraud. As it is, just smacking publishers with a ban only makes matters worse because think about how many banned publishers go on rouge missions an click-bomb other Adsense serving sites. The Adsense support forums are full of loser like that who will click-bomb anybody who is foolish enough to post their url there when asking a legit question.
