Hi friends. I am monetizing my blog using Adbrite and now i am thinking of receiving payment from Adbrite. But, since adbrite is offering only cheque payment, i just wanna know if there is any indian blogger over here who has received adbrite payment. If so, please help me in :

    1. How does adbrite send cheque?? I mean, cheque of which US bank.

    2. Now, suppose you have obtained cheque, then how do you get money in Indian Rupees from it. How do you perform currency exchange. Which bank will provide us rupees from such dollar cheque. Please talk about SBI (State Bank of India) bank, as i use it more frequently. Plz inform me the procedure to get cheque amount in rupees.

    3. What is the amount taken away from us as a part of all charge. where:

Charge = US bank charge + postal charge (if any) + currency conversion + SBI charge for cheque + any other charge if i have missed.

Considering above charge, and suppose I am receiving $200 cheque, what will be the actual amount that i will receive after all charge has been curtailed..

I know these are many questions.. but be kind enough to help me.

    Thanks in advance.

They Send Payorders free of Cost from Bank of America, you should have a Local Bank Account in your Country.. Your Local Bank Will charge a small Fee + Currency Conversion (Mine Charged 15 dollar per Payorder) It Takes 15-30 days to process the payorder.

    Hope this helps

Adbrite will send a Bank Of America Cheque. You can deposit the cheque in your bank account and the amount will get credited in about 21 days.

ICICI charges Rs 275 + tax for sending an international cheque for collection.

You can deposit the check in any bank.

Government banks usually have lower charges compared to private banks.

bcoz it will be a US$ check, you may have to deposit it with the forex department of the bank. Go to your bank and ask the procedure.

Takes around a month to clear.

    ICICI takes only 275??

I deposited my last check at Bank of India and I had to pay more than Rs 350...don't remember the exact amount.

Also, my check (or whatever it is) was from Well Fargo Bank and not Bank of America as some other members have mentioned.
