Adbrite check received

    i received my adbrite check yesterday. i got few queries before i deposit the check.

    i got a student account in icici bank and also got an account in uti bank. i am from india.. The check that i received amounts $6.05. i need to know which bank would be better for depositing the adbrite check. I also heard that there will be some deductions due to the conversion so how much would that be.

    this is my first check that i have recieved so i really dont know the process. I need your help with this

    Deposit the check at ICICI Bank and it'll be cleared in 1-4 days.

    I guess the amount would be in between 50- 100 INR

    In my PayPal Checks, SBI takes 185 as my checks are over $750-$1000

    Sticker UTI, normally doesn't charge you anything. I have a lot of my clients who use UTI. I have no idea about ICICI.

    From what my clients say, UTI would be a better option ;) .

    oh then i will have to check with both the banks first. btw having a student account in icici would it ok depositing it in that account

    ICICI Bank Takes Around 300 INR For Cashing US$ Cheques.
    Student Account is No Problem. They Only Discourage Cash Banking In Branch With That.
    I never tried UTI But I Guess You Should Go For UTI Bank.

    yes i received a check of $6.05, i had set the minimum payout to $5


    you mean to say i maybe charges Rs 300 for the $6.05 check. that would be more than the check amount.

    one of my friend was saying icici would charge around Rs 50,

    i'll better go check with both the banks personally and find out which one would be charge me the least
