I make horrible money with adbrite's network ads. And since they only pay 60 days after you make the money it's not a good combination

My adbrite ads earned 2x more than what I earn with adsense. That's what I like about adbrite but their 60 days payment abit slow.

I just visited your geekgods.net site and I see

    Advertise on this site
    Buy ad space now!

    Your Ad Here

I have Adbrite on my hobby site for about 5 months now and I always see "Advertise on this site".... I have a good number of tags and this month I have made only 6 cents with 12,000 Page Views daily.

How do I make Adbrite to work?
    Networks Ads is on.

Strange. I never see this show up on my site. But, at the same time, I do think Adbrite purposely shows this every once in awhile to advertise their own services. I see this on other sites as well, but if I refresh, it starts showing ads. Another reason this may be showing is that I recently stopped auto-approving network ads because they were becoming so untargeted. I was stuck having 6 ads for poker or casino cheats. So my pool of ads to show has decreased from say 1000 or more to say 50 because I am only approving ads specific for my genre.

AdBrite is definitely an experiment for me. But, I think in the long run, I can make more money from them then Adsense. And it's kinda nice to run ads that don't have 4 pages of TOS restrictions on them!

    Hi,

If they aren't really contextual, does this mean it is permissible to have both AdSense and AdBrite on the same sites/pages? Or does AdBrite prohibit showing AdSense on the same page as AdBrite ads?

    Cheers,

    ThreeGuineaWatch:

Running Adsense and AdBrite is ok since AdBrite is NOT contextual. I have emailed Google about this and they said it was ok as long as Adsense ads could be distinguished from AdBrite ads.

Make the ads look different from each other and it's fine.

AdBrite is a good program. But they are NOT AdSense. They use category targeted and direct ads. Not contextual like adsense.

The best way is to use the text ads, not the banner sizes.

Adbrite only pays via check. They have said they "might" add paypal in the future.

It can take up to a week until you get a good rotation of ads.

Also, here is a great tip on how to make more money from adbrite: http://adbriteforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=64

I am on the same boat
I show AdBrite to people outside USA.
In the last 2 weeks 98% of time it show "advertise here" crap
I'm as much disappointed as I was with adsense and their 2 cents clicks.
