AD_NETWORK.PHP file needs updating!

Thankfully I just realized this, not sure how long it has been like this but before they notice this and take my site down, how would I go about fixing this? All my Co-Op links have changed to AD_NETWORK.PHP file needs updating. I copied the new code posted on this site, after I put it in place, I just get a bunch of funny alphabetic characters like Y:K:L:A:p

    HELP PLEASE ;) :)

Sounds like you have a REALLY old version. You will want to update the code that outputs the $ad_network variable.

Hmm....how would I go about that? Do you mean the code where I want the ads to display? If so, this is what I have:

    $ad_network[0] : $ad_network[1] : $ad_network[2] : $ad_network[3] : $ad_network[4]

Everythings updated to my knowledge, the adnetwork.php file is updated, text file is empty, codes updated in everypage of the forum and I still get characters at the bottom. Even when I access the archive now after updating, I get this: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare file_get_contents_an() in /home/muscleh/public_html/forums/ad_network.php on line 4

You are including the ad_network.php file more than once if you are getting that error.

lol, he won't take it off :D

You need to double check that

1- you are using the most recent version of the coop files and code

2- you are only showing the code once on your pages

Check the variable you are outputting in your footer template (I'm assuming that's where it is in your setup). It should be $ad_network NOT something like $ad_network[0] : $ad_network[1] : $ad_network[2] : $ad_network[3] : $ad_network[4].

For your archive, I'm not sure... it doesn't look like you are using the standard vBulletin archive, so no clue what's up there, but it's somehow calling the ad_network.php file more than once.

Looks exactly the same to me (in both places).

Oh wait... nevermind. Depends on the page you look at. Did you do that? (set your ad network .txt file to be writable)? And just as important make sure it's named correctly (check the name of the file in the PHP file).

Tell me you checked the name of the .txt being referenced in your .php file, or that you named your .txt file as the setup instructions say right now (either one will suffice). :)

I got it working guys on the forums, but I have a quick question about the archive. http://www.muscle-mustangs.com/forums/archive1/index.php As you can tell, the links are rotating at the top, but I keep getting this error even thought the ads are rotating:

Warning: main(home/muscleh/public_html/forums/ad_network.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/muscleh/public_html/forums/archive1/index.php on line 16

Does anyone know how to fix this? If I can't get it fixed, is it ok to leave it like this since the ads are still rotating?
