    Hello
I am starting a new Saltwater fishing forum that will be ready in a month or two.

Was wondering if Ad words would be a good place to advertise for quality forum Moderators passionate for Salt Water fishing?

Basically what I am looking for in 20-30 people around the USA and World who are from various locations and specialize in that locations' fishing. I would want them to be a moderator for that location.

    thanks

    Andre

Might have more luck going on other salt water fishing forums. I would find people with blogs about salt water fishing and try to connect with them as well. I think you need to build relationships not just market for moderators.

Unless you are planning to pay those moderators I'd just look for members and see who gets active and has the time and then invite them to be moderators.

By all means advertise for members

    thanks Wfoody,
That is 100 % the best way. I am already in a lot of major salt water fishing forums. I will see what I can do to get some of them without red flagging myself.

thanks Sarah, Great advice. I will probably use wfoody's advice and get the mods from other sites and advertise to get some more members who may become mods.

    Hello

AdWords will definitely help you to get visitors from the various locations. But it will not help you to get moderators or it will be much costlier because every visitors may not be as relevant and it will take some time to find relevant moderators. You can also try forums and directory for salt water fishing around the world. Or you can put some advertisements in relevant sites regarding the salt water fishing.

Thanks Jigney, this sounds right. I am looking in other forums to find some quality Mods. Do any of you know what Moderators "get" for being a moderator in a new forum and then how about a busy forum?

I was thinking fishing tackle and eventually a fishing trip when we get busy in a couple years.

Here on DP mods receive $1 for every warning they hand out and $10 for every member they ban. This of course has led to us members basically having a bounty over our heads, and the mods getting rich on our backs.

    Wow!
that is pretty crazy. Of course DP makes a ton of cash and has been around for ever. That kind of system would seem counter intuitive for a fishing forum. I guess on DP it would help them finding the "bad apples " in the bunch - thus the rewards for it.
