Ad Units vs. Link Unit

Is there a difference in payment per click?

I'm doing some experimenting right now with moving things around and playing with other options. I've used Ad Units exclusively up until this point and now am trying some Link Units.

If there a difference in the per click payout?

 

The main difference is that the visitor must click twice and this is somehow more hard to do.

TRAFFIC

This is where most sites with adsense fail.

 

One click is better of course.

 

It depends. On some sites I get a higher CTR rate with links than ads however most of the time I receive the most income from ads rather than links.

 

For me, the ad units perform better rather than the links.

 

links can be very powerfull sometimes. When they are at the footer or header the CTR can be very high. Or as a supplement to regular ad units.

 

To be honest, there should be no difference between the two units.

On one of my sites the link unit get used more for some reason.

 

usually ad units gets more clicks therefore earns more revenue for most publishers. i have not done well with link units myself but few publisher did well with link units. most visitors bail out going to the second search result page and don;t click anymore. yes, visitors need to click on a seperate pages for you to get paid

 

Two clicks??? For link units? I didn't know that!

 

link ads usually get me nothing .. like 10 cents , my actually pic ads get me up to 3$ a click ive seen
