I moved a large site over to YPN and it was making almost double of google. Today I get an email like this: Thank you for your participation in the Yahoo! Publisher Network Beta program. Due to the quality of the leads generated from your sites, we have disabled the use of Ad Targeting for your account. You may continue to display contextually-matched ads that Yahoo! serves, however, the matching suggestions provided by the use of Ad Targeting will not be utilized. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Does this mean I was sending them "bad" leads? My revenue is down from them now so I might be switching back.
Mine was cut about 4 months ago as well. This was supposed to be a "Driving Point" of yahoo.. but those of us who actually used it to steer relevant ads to our site.. Were knocked off.. My opinion is that we cut out their crap ads this way and they were never getting shown.. ;-) The Steering of relevant ads are doing ok of late but as of Feb.. CPC has gone "WAY WAY WAY DOWN".... Later D/C
I'm still sending them alot of clicks but my CPC went down almost two thirds - I was actually happy for a few days since the google was tanking pretty bad. I'm just wondering if I was pulling too much money from them daily and they knocked me down or is that nonsense to think?
I have found it goes in cycles.. A few months back it tanked really bad then it comes back up and down.. Give it some time.. Good Luck.. D/C
I hope it goes back up soon - this is the worst drop I have ever seen - down 65% here and my traffic is up by 20% - my CTR remains the same.
Well Mine have tanked as well.. I have had cpc's of .x the last few days.. Don't know what is up. D/C
I am curious how much are you guys getting from YPN? I am using YPN right now on my website, I am only pulling $1.5/day.
My ad targeting was disabled a month ago as well. Been using Google ever since and am happier than ever!
I might have to quit using yahoo all together, I was at least getting xxx.xx before this per month but now with the ad targeting disabled it is cut almost in half for the same site its been running on for years
