Ad sharing forum...shares how much?

    Hello all,

I was wandering how many of you signed up for the ad sharing option here using your Adsense publisher ID. Also, how well would you say it pays out? Has anyone had any trouble due to sharing their publisher id's in a public forum?

    Thanks and take it easy,
    Dave from TPCS

50% of the time Dp displays the member's ads who are signed up for the rev sharing program. however, forums have very low CTR and DP being a webmaster forum, CTR is even lower. don't expect much from it. think of pennies, not dollars

I was worried.... i mean if people are allowed to put up their own ads.. and DP making 50%... what if invalid clicks take place... who gets the finger pointed at.. DP or the users ad in the thread he/she made?

DP shares it 50-50, but in most of the forums, I noticed 30-70 ratio.
All I can say, its 100% safe and approved by Google.

invalid clicks are less likely to happen here. DP member's publisher ID will be used to show the ads 50% of the time, however, the member who's ads are being displayed will not see his/her ads so that no accidental or intentional clicks can take place

I contacted Google to ask what they thought and their answer was vague at best with a reference to read the TOS. Thanks for your replies.

    That's a good question Kayz.

"how well would you say it pays out?"

    I have earned $0.40 so far :)

"Has anyone had any trouble due to sharing their publisher id's in a public forum?"

    Don't worry, it is safe.

I understand that, but it dosent ommit the fact that invalid clicks "can happen" or suspicious activity "can happen". Say for e.g. such activity did take place, i would like to know what google will do...? I think somebody should ask them about this.

I think you should ask them what i have said above... which is a possibility, not just here on DP but anywhere else where people share ads... it will be interesting to know what they have to say.
