A few months ago i asked a developer friend about an ad system he recommended openx for the job. Since i was advised to use openx our project has now been put live and we have been inundated with quries regarding the ad server. I need the system to rotate through banner ads, text ads and Google ads. Openx uses iFrame refresh to do the job and this just is not working how i had hoped. Does anyone out there know of a system that will fit the job? Or a hack/fix for the job? or even a custom made system for the job? Thanks
You could use javascript invocation with OpenX. Google Ad manager is the easy way... The easy way to get lower prices from Google. Google now becomes three things to a publisher: * Ad Network provider (supplier of advertisers) * Ad technology / analytics provider (owner of your data) * Competitor to ad revenue to a publisher (they are also a publisher) As a publisher, I would find this a dangerous cocktail and I would worry that it may marginalize my revenue.
An easy solution is to make separate areas for banner ads, text ads and google ads. Let OpenX server the banner and text ads and let google serve the google ads.
