No its not. Do you know why you get paid for every click? Its because the guy who buys the clicks from you generates more money than he spends. Besides, Google takes a chunk of your money too. Therefore you should cut out Google + the buyer and learn how to maximise your revenue with affiliate marketing etc.
Adsense is great - but you shouldn't rely on it 100% - otherwise you could find yourself in a situation with no income.

Yes it is very good when you are starting out with a website. When you have gained good traffic, look for more options on monetizing the website. But Adsens Rocks Nonetheless
Adsense is one of the "worse" ways to monetize your traffic possible, people only use it because a monkey can paste it in your page and you're done. You're sending out your visitors for a couple of cents when you can convert them in to $XXX sales. I don't see how that makes Adsense great at all.
