Ad rotation (refresh) on static chat page - allowed?

    I have a static page on my site; static in that it's a chat page...

    Once someone lands there they hunker down for a few minutes or hours and "chat". I have adsense running below and above the chat but was thinking about running the ads in a rotation script. My idea is to have the ads refresh every 60 seconds or so; just to deliver a new banner or group of text ads to the viewer, hopefully eye-catchy and interesting enough to generate some clicks.

    Is this allowed?

    Also, does anyone have any other ideas on how to deliver ads to a user that is essentially staying on the same page without a page reload.
