I understand the quality score and CTR rates and if they are not great your clicks are more expensive. I have an ebook I am trying to sell and have not started my adwords campaign yet. I am going to do the two ads and test method, but I have a question on this. I know most people in their ads if they put a price it is at the end of the body. I am thinking about putting it at the beginning of body of the ad. I would assume this would reduce CTR quite a bit and maybe make my cpc higher, but do you think this would raise conversion rate? I think it should drastically improve the conversion even if I only get a few clicks. Seems to me like it would save some money. Has anybody done this? What were your results? I just want to weed out these clickers looking for freebies.

it is a good option but make sure your price is not too high as compared to the other sources selling same stuff via adwords

This is one of the biggest things to check before using that strategy.

By including the price in your ad then you will see a low CTR, a high conversion rate and 100% quality traffic. It's true that your Quality Score will go down and you will eventually pay more, but at the end of the day, anyone clicking on your ad MUST be a potential client meaning paying that little bit extra is well worth it. I recommend to clients with low budgets or who want to experiment with a new product to use this technique to simply see if they can sell the product before spending loads of money.

All new advertisers Think this thing. But As you thing the result would not be good. Yes . The conversions does not happen by seeing the Rates. The conversions happening after read your site content. Thats why major companies also does not put rate in advertisements. As per polls and statistics, the ads without rates will make higher conversions.

Anyway if you want to avoid the customers who are looking for free products or free services, Just add "-free" in keywors list. It will dramatically avoid the visitors who r looking for free.

All the best for your sales.
