I opted out of "Ad targeting" because I believed it served low-paying CPM ads only. Now, we have the new "Ad Placement" - https://www.google.com/adsense/supp...&sourceid=aso&subid=ww-ww-et-asui&medium=link Nowhere is CPM or CPC mentioned. Question #1 - If the new "Ad Placement" applies to CPC ads, I might be interested. If it applies to CPC ads ONLY, I would DEFINITELY be interested. Anyone know? Google doesn't say. Question #2 - You have to describe the ad placement. I might be glad to give the advertiser the 336x280, but I am not going to put up the 336 now, due to unbelievably poor performance (on this one page), so the advertiser isn't going to see what he is going to get. Is this a problem, in making this work? Does the prospective advertiser need to see the live example? Question #3 - Will the average Joe publisher make more or less by employing "Ad Placement"? If using Ad Placement results in CPM ads replacing what would have been CPC clicks, this is not a good deal, it would seem. Except for very high traffic, low CTR pages.
I would say that sell both cpm and cpc. I am sure advertisers would want to see live placement. That is my opinion only.
