    Hi guys,

I have got a few blogs which get traffic in the region of 500 uniques a month. I haven't tried to monetise them before really except for adsense on one site, which had a few clicks - nothing huge.

I'd love any input from people as to the best placement of adsense and other advertising on their blogs and how it is gone. At the moment they are all on basic two-column templates...

    Cheers,

    Mike

If you're using wordpress have a 468*60 banner right below the header/logo, 250 x 250 square units between posts & a 125x125 button the right sidebar...

The best place for any clickable link is in the top left corner. We are trained to look there first, think of Google results. Anywhere on the left is good but top left is best.

Don’t Make Your Blog Look Like an Ad

The average person is exposed to anywhere between 1,500 and 5,000 advertising messages per day from TV, billboards, radio, the Internet, practically everywhere we turn. The last thing we want to see when we land on a blog is yet another ad.
