http://intensecogitation.info/ Not sure if the ad placement is optimum right now because it's a fairly new site and there are few visitors. Any comments on the ad placement, design, etc would be appreciated
there is a lot of room for improvement my friend. I will suggest having a look at "google adsesne heat map" for choosing where to place ads
I think you are overdoing it on your front page... maybe you can remove the 160x600 pixels from either side of your blog. Shift the donate box to below the fold, it will help.
You have good ad placement already, now just need to focus on other areas of your site (IMO, it's best to keep growing your sites, never actually "finishing" them) and hope people will click.
Two - Three ads is enough on each webpage if you want to good CTR and top content placement is attractive.
In this article I am going to let you in on the secret to the most effective AdSense placement on your website or blog and why that particular spot on your site is more effective than where you might have originally chosen to place it. Randomly placing AdSense on your website and hoping for the best may have worked in the beginning but current research shows that certain areas of a web page are better choices than others when it comes to getting a visitor to clicking an ad on your website.
I believe the ad placement is too low. For me you had to scroll down before you even saw an ad. You do need some ads up at the top on the right side (preferably).
Any other comments related to design and content? I've tweaked a couple of items on the site, so it should be slightly better
I am a newbie to this forum. Even I am struggling with ad placement. Thanks for suggesting "google adsense heat map".
Ads placement is pretty good but I think it's good if you blend your ads background to your site background.
I agree that the ads are just a bit too low before you see any of them. Maybe try to move at least one or two a bit higher that it shows after about a couple of wee bit scroll downs with your mouse. But your site and ad placement looks way better than the previous one I've seen earlier.
