A reminder for those of us who are getting poor CTR-- If your rates are down, check to see if you've changed the placement of your ads. For the last several weeks my CTR was around .5% and I was scratching my head and wondering why. With a bit of tweaking, that has now changed and it's up to 5%-- 10 times as much. On a seperate note, has anyone heard of freehostia? What do you think about their hosting?
Do you have a "before and after" screenshot of your ad placements? It'd be really interesting to see.
For some reason, my ads don't show up on this computer. I'll see about getting a before and after section set up, but I'll have to do it on another comp!
I did that, and it worked. Also, I got some better paying ads to show, by using Google's keyword tool to see what words are worth more. Then I could tweak my page. In other words, I could take "Oregon coast" and swap it out with "Oregon Seaside" and maybe squeeze "vacation" into a sentence or two - maybe my tags. So it worked. Not massively, but it helped.
Ad placement does much in improvement of CTR , the main keys of getting high CTR are ad placement , ad sizes , ad color etc ...
