I just got my first ads displayed after signing up a month ago. Finally! So, I like to take a look at my ad on different referring pages just to see where it is placed, how it looks, etc. When I went to the following page, I couldn't find my ad, even though I was getting hits in my weblogs for my ad image. After a couple of minutes of looking around, I noticed that the webmaster at this site isn't actually displaying the Co-op ads at the bottom of his page unless the user clicks the "Notice+" link in the footer of the page. What a crock! Here...go take a look. Scroll down to the footer and click the "Notice+" link and you will see the co-op ad. I'm apparently not allowed to post a URL (will read the FAQ momentarily to find out why)...anyway...here's a text link to the offending site. http://www.lyricshead.com/lyrics/korn/another-brick-in-the-wall%252c-parts-1%252c-2%252c-3-lyrics.html THis seems more than slightly dishonest to me and I hope to see this website removed from the co-op. Thanks for your time and for a great free advertising service. KrnlPanic
Not sure if there account will be validating because they're not actually displaying the links (well not for me). Although in the source I see the dp image code....
They have been dumped from the ad network along with 4 more of their sites (all hiding ads)... table.footerContainer .footerNotice { visibility: hidden; font-size: 10px; padding: 3px 0px 0px 0px; } Code (css):
Do they know that? They seem to still be running something down there. It pulls a DP banner. I'd be more inclined to a have a special banner "We're a bunch of morons and tried to cheat our way through an Ad Coop" But maybe I'm a little meaner Peter
I'm still getting banner hits from this website as of this morning...and my banner is not being shown. I thought they were being banned from the network?
They are banned, but someone technically still can run ads if they want (even though they don't get credit).
