Hello, I am new to Adwords. I have set up an account. My ad is below: Glucose Tablet Keyring For Diabetics in case of a HYPO Helps you to remember glucose! www.<domain>.com My keywords are: diabetes hypoglycaemia hypo glucose tablets I also have content network turned off. I left my account overnight in case it needed time to get into the system, however the next day, even when putting in ALL keywords it doesn't show my ad. In fact, it doesn't show any ads for these keywords, so why wouldn't mine be there and at the top? The only thing I can think of is that it questioned whether I was selling pharmaceutical products, which I'm not, but to get around it I had to add keywords which were an "exception" or something when setting up my ad (I ticked a check box which was next to my keyword list). It said that I needed approval, but my ad says that it is active and all my keywords are shown. What could be wrong? Have my keywords been excluded, even though it says my ad is active? Thanks
Again, this will have been flagged and require manual approval which will take a few days. I'm suprised your ad was not disapproved for all capitals in 'HYPO' aswell.
Basically yep. If you mouse hover over the magnifying glass, it will come back with a bunch of reasons why your ad might not be showing. Basically, there are certain keywords / ads and themes that get auto flagged by Adwords for approval before they can be shown. Generally speaking, adverts get auto approval for Google search and all get manual approval in the end / for search/content networks.
OK, thanks again. My ad is showing now. I just logged in to Adwords and it says my ad has shown six times. One thing I am confused about though... It shows my keywords. On one line I have just the keyword "hypoglycemia", and it shows 6 impressions. On the second line I have "diabetes hypoglycaemia hypo glucose tablets". This has no impressions. Should these words be separated into individual words on individual lines, i.e. will my add only show if somebody types in either "hypoglycemia" or "diabetes hypoglycaemia hypo glucose tablets"? If somebody types in glucose tablets, then this won't show my ad because it is only part of the keyword string? Hope you understand what I'm asking
You will want to put each word in a different line. I would also suggest you try the following keyword tool to add more keywords to your campaign: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/?keywords=
