Ad Network thought

I used to use matched.co.uk (sadly they haved trading) to display banners. The great thing with them was that they even placed banners on websites that had little traffic and paid a set amount per month per banner.

I started to wonder if I should set up exactly the same type of banner ad network.

    What do you guys think?
Would you place banners on your website for $3 per month per banner?
Would you advertise on such a network?

    Thanks for any feedback.

You means a paid banner network where you buy banner impressions?

yes there are loads around but most of them have a high requirements as to number of visitors etc. or they pay per impression. I know only of one network that pays a flat rate for banner ads but they are difficult to get in. Matched.co.uk used to accept pretty much everyone except adult, warez, drug and a few other related sites.

Would you place banners on your website for $3 per month per banner?
Would you advertise on such a network?

Take the usual suspects, what is their minimum requirement on page impressions? There surely has to be some traffic for the banners to be exposed and to be clicked through to allow you to earn money back.

10 cents a day which is your outward payment would typically be paid out for 100-200 impressions from a decent CPM network. They'd probably be charging twice that amount from an advertiser.

Not entirely. The banners are not placed via javascript but would be either inserted via php or placed directly on the page via html. Even if there are hardly any pageviews the advertiser would still get textlink to their website and this is also of value.

The banners would be assigned on a month to month basis. There would be automatic and manual checks that the banners are included properly as well. If there are any problems alerts are sent out.

$3 per month is too little, it would be better if it could go by the number of impressions displayed.

What would be a fair price for banners?

I mean after all the traffic does not have to be big on those websites and if you have a website with 10 pages you could make $30 a month.
