What has been your experience with different ad network support? I was testing lijit/sovrn for a personal site literally emailed them 5 times got no response yet. Ever try emailing ______ for support? Greatest paying Network in the business, they have some of the best technology, some of the best earnings, but some of the worst policies, and support i've ever seen. Makes me wonder what its like to email one of these "new" networks on here who say "we pay 1000 visitors $1" Clearly not knowing its a $1 CPM. Whats it like to ask that person how you can earn more money on your site? How you can drive a higher CTR? How can you trust your business with any of these people? Good payout or not - the 1 time you have a problem in the future... cause maybe you put lijit as a passback for someone better, or maybe you didn't read ______'s 500 page and confusing terms and conditions which even their support staff can't explain to you, or maybe the no name network who doesn't even know what the price model is called which you are being paid on stops answering or serving your ads, or their site with no contact information and a blocked whois goes down.... That 1 time is all it takes for your business to possibly take a big hit. Why Risk it? Sorry if this sounds like a rant - these are valid questions. Far too often I am asked of a comparison of PremiumCPM (which I work for) and others; and honestly there is no comparison. If your life depends on serving ads on your site and making money from you web traffic then you deserve to have access to real support with a company who knows what they are talking about, 24/7, and a company that provides answers to problems, and reasoning for actions (before being taken). Far too often these companies today will take severe action on an account with funds and yet - provide no warning at all, no options, nothing. Just revoke your earnings, or deactivate your tags with out telling you. Most of the time the actual reason for it happening is because the web master simply didn't know that something in particular couldn't be done...Other times its because the network has a snake oil policy in place to make a margin from you (the publisher). Far too often a lot of problems are caused from employees at networks who should know a thing or 2 about their job, not knowing a thing or 2 about it. As a webmaster you should expect to learn something new every day, no good site is ever finished, and as a good network they should expect to explain things to the publisher so the publisher stays compliant to rules and regulations, and can continue to make money for them selves and the network for a long period of time. At the end of the day if you aren't paid - what you earned means nothing, and if you earn $100 this month, and lose $200 next month you still lost $100. I would love to hear other's feedback on this, and maybe some of your views on the questions above.
1st at all, i will say sorry for my English, i know is not good. I tested more then 70% companies from digitalpoint and adswiki, and there are so much things witch are more then unfair. Post is not related strict to support, but among other things is related to the support. I will write just about main problems, and if someone need details or proofs i can tell difference and problems for each company particular. Mail problems are Redirects, Popups (specially for mobile users) and mailwares. That dont need to be a problem if you have some support to help you about that. The most of them will not even answer your emails. Lets start with best: Best of all i ever tested and i am still with them is PremiumCPM (i dont work for them or have any benefits). They record and pay ALL your impressions. If if not possible to fill all impressions with premium ads, you will receive less payed ads but all of them will be payed. Thats really incredible and different then any other network. Beside they good eCPMm they incredible support can solve everything, and really everything. At beginning i had problems with few popups for mobile users, after i contacted support via skype, problem was solved for less then 5 minutes! Yes, less then 5 minutes. Due to my webiste niche, i requested some changes to my scripts for serving ads and after chat with Dominick, same day my problem was solved, i dont know how and what he done, but i received best and stable earnings for my website then from any other network. Second good network was valueclickmedia. Support answering withing 12 hours, eCPM is the highest but they also have limit for number of impressions pir unique IP. So if you have a lot of impressions with low unique IP, it can be used as additional network. The worst with popups, redirects and answering was CPMFun. After i added they ads, mobile users wasnt able to reload my website, dont even thing to play game. I removed they ads same moment and contacted support but never got replay. Really decent from them. Chitika calculating all impressions but they earnings can move from 0.00$. Once with 1.6M impressions i earned 0.01$ So you can try to calculate eCPM I received answers from support within 72 hours few times with promise that they will change and fix that but i never got fixed anything. CPMStar calculating all impressions but earnings are more then strange. Lets explain: 1st February with same GEO users, number of clicks and impressions i earn from 15$, 10 day later 0.03$ and 5 days later 7$. As i sad, GEO, clicks and impressions are same. You can't know eCPM at all. Usually is 0.00$, sometimes 0.01$. Support answering after 48 hours, promise better earnings witch least only for next 2 days and we are back to low earnings (from 16-19$ to 3-4$) Tribal Fusion i sent them emails many times without answer. At least, the basic culture of the company is to respond to email. lijit have really low fill rate. With requested ~1M impressions i got ~10% fill rate. Quadabra i dont know what they calculate, whats eCPM or anything. They earnings or impressions dont have sense at all. I tryed few days and gived up. Support answering withing 48 hours and all the time answer is: Give us system time to optimize your traffic. Thats all that you can hear from them. Edomz and other networks with limited numbers of served impressions pir unique IP. Ok, in one hand i can understand that, they calculate impression pir IP every 1 hour, more or less but in same time they serve ads. So even they dont calculate you impressions, they will server ads to your users. Thats fair? If they limit your impressions, isnt regular to tell you that your fill rate is 5-10 or 15% so you can add additional ad networks and get earnings for all impressions?
Hi Elena, i forgot to say that i was testing only one of the time. I dont have so much space for ads so i am using only one company and 1 banner.
By the way - most mainstream sites don't want to run gambling and betting offers which is why Gambling and Betting performs MUCH better on Adult traffic.
Hey there, I have good support from Adsense, Media.net, Fidelity Media. Especially like Fidelity team, they make things more personal. I'm not sure that support would suggest you "how to bring more visitors?" and thing like that, but those 3 have answered my questions and helped me a lot.
Do you feel that good support could mean more money down the road? For example, if you find a good network with great support instead of being afraid of being banned randomly and losing income, you can utilize the companies support as security and to help guide you on the best way to make the most money with them. Any serious Network should be willing to spend the time with their clients letting them know how to make the most money. After all most networks make margins when your site is making money. Any one else have any thoughts?
Well, that's for sure. But I don't think that any network willing to spend time consulting you about your website content and things like that, it's your biz.Good support means a lot.
Support defiantly mattes, though I think most of the time only small network usually provide personal support, as when a network gets big they do not care for small webmaster and I never heard adsense provides good support they don't even answer you will see only auto responses and same with media.net never heard back from their support.
true, I think which is why if a network focuses on bigger publishers, and becomes a bigger network and maintains a high level of support with less publishers. when i was using lijit/sovrn for my personal site - I emailed them 7 times over 4 months.... got zero response. AdSense is definitely one of the worst for support lol. If you even get a response its usually copy and pasted default answers and a link to documentation... Almost every network does business like that, which is why the few and far between need to be recognized.
Completely agree on this list Lijit may be on 1st rank I don't think their support even exits, yup true google has either no support or if there is any then no reasonable answer and that makes sense for a company of that huge its not possible to response so may be they also response to only companies who does billion dollar business with them. From Lijit you should expect to get response though I don't think they are that big that you cannot answer a email in 4 months.
